About the Competition

This is a simple, engaging activity you can run with your pupils as part of PE, enrichment, or cross-curricular learning, and requires no extra planning.

Challenge your students to create a football kit that reflects:

  • Values and ethos

  • Colours and branding

It’s a great way to encourage creativity while reinforcing a sense of belonging and pride in your school community.

World Cup Kit Design Competition: Terms and Conditions

Competition summary: Schools are invited to take part in a student design competition to create a football kit that represents their school. The winning design will be produced as a real football kit for the school, along with additional prizes.

1. Organiser

  • The competition is organised by BSL International Limited trading as Sports Directory (“Sports Directory”), located at Dartford, England.

2. Eligibility

  • 2.1. The competition is open to UK schools.

  • 2.2. Student designs must be created by pupils currently enrolled at the entering school.

  • 2.3. Entries must be submitted by a teacher or authorised school representative on behalf of the school. Students may not submit entries directly.

  • 2.4. By submitting an entry, the teacher or authorised representative confirms that they have obtained all necessary permissions, including consent from the student’s parent or guardian and approval from the school, for the student’s participation in the competition and for the use of the student’s first name, year group, school name, and design for promotional purposes.

  • 2.5. Entries from individuals outside the UK, or submissions not made on behalf of a school, will not be accepted.

  • 2.6. Employees of Sports Directory, and any individual professionally associated with the competition, are not eligible to enter.

3. Entry

  • 3.1. No purchase is necessary to enter the competition.

  • 3.2. Schools may submit multiple student entries; however, each design must be original and created by a student at the school.

  • 3.3. Entries must be submitted either:

  • 3.4. The competition will run until 29th May 2026. Entries received after this date will not be considered. Winners will be announced in June.

  • 3.5. Teachers must provide contact details (including name, school, and email address) for entry verification and winner notification.

  • 3.6. By entering, the school confirms that all submitted designs are the original work of their students.

4. Winners and Prizes

  • 4.1. Winners will be selected based on creativity, originality, and how well the design represents the school’s identity and values.

  • 4.2. The winners will be chosen by a panel of representatives from Complete PE, Sports Directory, and other partners supporting the competition.

  • 4.3. One First Prize Winner and two Runner-Up Winners will be selected.

  • 4.4. The First Prize winning design will be developed and produced as a real football kit for the winning school. The school will also receive a PUMA Vitoria football pack and 1 year of access to Complete PE.

  • 4.5. Runner-up schools will each receive a PUMA Vitoria football pack and a limited access subscription to Complete PE.

  • 4.6 Winners will be contacted using the details provided at entry and must confirm acceptance and provide any required information for prize fulfilment.

  • 4.7. If a winner cannot be contacted or does not respond within two calendar weeks, Sports Directory reserves the right to select an alternative winner.

  • 4.8. Prizes are non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and cannot be redeemed for cash or other alternatives.

5. Intellectual Property

  • 5.1. By submitting an entry, the school grants Sports Directory the right to use, reproduce, and adapt the design for the purpose of producing the football kit and for promotional activity.

  • 5.2. The winning design may be modified where necessary for production purposes.

  • 5.3. Sports Directory may feature submitted designs (including non-winning entries) in marketing materials, social media, and promotional content.

6. Data Protection

  • 6.1. By entering the competition, participants agree to the processing of their personal data by Sports Directory solely for the purposes of administering the competition and contacting the winner(s).

  • 6.2. Winners agree to have the student’s first name, year group, and school name published as part of post competition publicity.

  • 6.3. Sports Directory will handle your personal data in accordance with applicable data protection laws and our Privacy Policy.

  • 6.4. Participants can opt-in to receive marketing communications, but this is not a condition of entry.

  • 6.5. Some prizes are provided by third-party suppliers, such as Complete PE. In such cases, the personal details of winners (such as name, school name, and delivery address) may be shared with the relevant supplier solely for the purpose of prize fulfilment. No information will be shared with third parties unless the participant has won a prize that requires it.

7. Liability

  • 7.1. Sports Directory accepts no responsibility for entries that are lost, delayed, misdirected, or incomplete, or cannot be entered for any technical or other reason.

  • 7.2. Participants acknowledge that the competition is not associated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any third-party entity unless explicitly stated. Some prizes may be provided by third-party suppliers who support the competition by contributing items. In such cases, winners’ details may be shared with the relevant supplier solely for the purpose of prize fulfilment.

  • 7.3 Sports Directory is not responsible for any inaccuracies in entry information supplied by participants.

8. General

  • 8.1. Sports Directory reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God, or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation, or any other event outside Sports Directory’s control.

  • 8.2. Any changes to the competition will be notified to participants as soon as possible.

  • 8.3. The decision of Sports Directory in all matters relating to the competition is final and binding. No correspondence will be entered into.

  • 8.4. The competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by English law, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

  • 8.5. Entrants will be deemed to have accepted these T&Cs and agreed to be bound by them when entering this Promotion.
