Competition: Guess the Number Challenge
Competition summary: Participants can enter the competition by guessing the number of items in the container. The specific items to be guessed will be displayed at the event for participants to view.
Terms and conditions:
· The competition is organised by BSL International T/A Sports Directory (Sports Directory) located at Dartford, England.
2. Eligibility
· 2.1. The competition is open to individuals aged 18 years or older.
· 2.2. The competition is only open to registered attendees of the conference/event where the competition is being held.
· 2.3. Employees of Sports Directory, and any individual professionally associated with the competition are not permitted to enter.
3. Entry
· 3.1. No purchase is necessary to enter the competition.
· 3.2. To enter, participants must submit their guess of the total number of items in the container via the provided link or entry form.
· 3.3. Only one entry per person is allowed. Multiple entries will result in disqualification.
· 3.4. The competition will run during the conference at which you entered. Entries received outside this period will not be considered.
· 3.5 Participants need to provide their personal information (including name, contact details, job title etc.), which will be used for competition entry verification and to contact winners after the event.
4. Competition Mechanics
· 4.1. The winner will be the participant who correctly guesses the exact number of items in the container.
· 4.2. The winner will receive a voucher worth £150, redeemable at Sports Directory. The prize is non-transferable, and no cash alternatives will be offered.
· 4.3. In the event of a tie (multiple correct guesses), a random draw will determine the winner from the correct entries.
· 4.4. If no participant guesses the exact number, the closest guess without exceeding the total will be declared the winner.
· 4.5. The winner will be announced soon after the event and contacted via email.
· 4.6. Prizes are non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and cannot be redeemed for cash or any other form of compensation.
· 4.7. If a winner cannot be contacted or does not claim their prize within 1 calendar month of notification, Sports Directory reserves the right to withdraw the prize and select another winner.
5. Data Protection
· 5.1. By entering the competition, participants agree to the processing of their personal data by Sports Directory solely for the purposes of administering the competition and contacting the winner(s).
· 5.2. Winners agree to have their name and school name/establishment published as part of post-event publicity e.g. on our social media, website and email announcements.
· 5.3. Personal data will be processed in accordance with Sports Directory's Privacy Policy.
· 5.4. Participants can opt-in to receive marketing communications, but this is not a condition of entry. Those who do not opt-in will not be contacted for marketing purposes.
6. Liability
· 6.1. Sports Directory accepts no responsibility for entries that are lost, delayed, misdirected, or incomplete, or cannot be entered for any technical or other reason.
· 6.2. Participants acknowledge that the competition is not associated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any third-party entity unless explicitly stated.
7. Health and Safety
· 7.1. Participants take part in the competition at their own risk. Sports Directory will not be liable for any injury, loss, or damage arising from participation in the competition, except where caused by the negligence of Sports Directory or its employees.
· 7.2. Participants are responsible for ensuring that they are in good health and physically capable of safely participating in the competition.
· 7.3. Sports Directory reserves the right to disqualify any participant if it is deemed that their participation poses a risk to themselves or others.
8. General
· 8.1. Sports Directory reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God, or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation, or any other event outside Sports Directory’s control.
· 8.2. Any changes to the competition will be notified to participants as soon as possible.
· 8.3. The decision of Sports Directory in all matters relating to the competition is final and binding. No correspondence will be entered into.
· 8.4. The competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by English law, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
· 8.5. Entrants will be deemed to have accepted these T&Cs and agreed to be bound by them when entering this Promotion.
